Oil Paintings

Oil Paintings

My love for animals came at a very young age, always wanting to rescue and save anything that was in any harm or trouble. Always trying to bring them home, much to my mothers disliking.

Having owned cats and dogs throughout my years, I seem to have a soft spot for dogs. Dogs are matchless in faithfulness and loyalty. 'Cheeko' is my furry four legged pets name. He is a 12 year old male Pomeranian canine. Guess you could say he's my best mate. Forever pampering him with the best of food and the lifestyle of which we are both accustomed to. He loves to express his half-obedient mischievous nature while walking on the sandy beaches of Queensland.

Let me tell you how you or a friend can have a forever portrait of your fur-baby of lifetime memories. I am a accomplished Pet Portrait Artist with commissioned artwork worldwide. I specialize in creating lifelong memories of pets, using 'Winsor & Newton' fine quality Oil paints. Mainly for their pure beauty of rich colour's and long lasting duration.

I can paint a head study or full body and any extras you would like added at an additional cost. All my works are painted or drawn on quality cotton box canvas in various sizes. I work from photographs. If you are a local to my area I can arrange a time that suits and photograph your pet for you, if not I do require you to send through at least 3 good photos of your subject, remembering that the photo has to be of clear quality. Try to take your photos outside without a flash, in natural light rather than inside your home, avoid photos with intense sunlight, by doing this it makes my job a lot easier to work from. Remember to take the photo of the subject quite close up rather than at a distance. Make sure the photo hasn't any any dark shadows. The best photography is of a happy pet, preferably with their tongue hanging out which of course has him or her smiling at their best.

When placing an order, you will be requested to pay 20% (non-refundable) of the portrait upfront. The remaining balance of the painting + shipping or postage will be paid upon completion. I will email you a final image of your portrait once completed. Any final amendments that you require can be made at this stage of the painting. If you would like to commission me a portrait of your special friend or you would like to make an inquiry, you can email me or talk directly by phone. Please find below a preview of my pet portraits. I hope you enjoy.
